A temporary rating is a system we have developed to allow existing members to
\n– get some races in so that you can come before the board with race results to justify your permanent rating
\n– jump the waitlist for a rating review in order to get a rating in time for an upcoming race.<\/p>\n

A temporary rating is for a boat that DOES NOT HAVE A RATING YET but is already a member. You must ALREADY have paid your membership dues for the current year to get a temporary rating.<\/p>\n

A temporary rating is valid for 120 days from the date of issue, and can be extended up to two times at the discretion of the Chief Handicapper. We make every effort to turn these around quickly. Once processed, you will be notified by the fleet office, and your boat will appear in the Current Ratings list online.<\/p>\n

To apply for a Temporary Rating,
\n– Make sure your regular membership is current.
\n– Send an email to the Fleet Office stating that you request a temporary rating.\u00a0 Include your sail number, name, contact information, and date of your next race.
\n– Submit payment.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n– Put your sail number in the messages field<\/strong> so we can connect your payment to your membership. Without this information we may not be able to connect your payment to your membership.<\/del><\/p>\n
