A temporary rating is a system we have developed to allow existing members to
– get some races in so that you can come before the board with race results to justify your permanent rating
– jump the waitlist for a rating review in order to get a rating in time for an upcoming race.
A temporary rating is for a boat that DOES NOT HAVE A RATING YET but is already a member. The cost for a temporary rating is $50. This is in addition to the regular membership fee.
A temporary rating is valid for 120 days from the date of issue, and can be extended up to two times at the discretion of the Chief Handicapper. We make every effort to turn these around quickly. Once processed, you will be notified by the fleet office, and your boat will appear in the Current Ratings list online.
To apply for a Temporary Rating,
– Make sure your regular membership is current.
– Send an email to the Fleet Office stating that you request a temporary rating. Include your sail number, name, contact information, and date of your next race.
– Submit payment of $50. To pay online, proceed below by entering your sail number and click on Pay Now.
To pay by check, send a check for $50 to the address below, and be sure to write your sail number on the check.
